THE PILGRIMAGE OF HOPE IS SET OFF











After having a modest departure ceremony on which Mgr. Muskens, bishop of Breda and Mr. Paul van Eck, representative of CMC addressed the public, the participants of the Pilgrimage of Hope have left for the Peace Palace in The Hague to symbolically associate themselves with peace before they set off on their long journey across three continentsin 4x4 jeeps.
The pilgrims departed at 01:00 p.m. on Sunday 29 August 2007 from the Peace Palace in The Hague after symbolically lighting candles in front of the Peace Flame. Every one of them spoke out their wishes and prayers for their country and people in the third millennium.
